Liam looks at races at Ayr and one at Newbury. He thinks those fancied tomorrow will take all the beating in many of the races including one in the first race that he highlighted back on the 12th April on twitter. You really should be following Liam on twitter!

Friday 25th and Saturday 26th Analysis

Friday 25th November

Newbury 2:30

I’m a big fan of Beakstown here who won for us at Ayr last season over his optimum 2 1/2 mile trip. He ended the season with a good 3rd at Sandown when not beaten far but arguably ran his career best last time out on his seasonal return at Aintree. He finished 4th behind former Grade 1 winner Riders Onthe Storm with subsequent easy Haydock winner Hitman in 2nd and subsequent Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase winner Ga Law back in 3rd. Beakstown was just 1 3/4 length behind Ga Law. Ga Law won off […]

Liam’s Weekly Thoughts – 28th February – 6th March 2022

2022-03-04T14:02:25+00:00February 28th, 2022|

Who runs this weekend?

6 Horses that have caught Liam’s eye!

Liam looks ahead to the racing this weekend and highlights 6 that he is interested in and 2 that he feels are worth backing now! This includes a horse available at 16/1 for the Morebattle Hurdle!

2 for the Bet365 Gold Cup & a Scottish National horse!

As well as briefly mentioning the very obvious Langer Dan, Liam highlights 7 others that had interesting handicap marks assigned this week. A Novice hurdler that may bypass Cheltenham for a handicap, 2 that are interesting in the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown and a horse who looks very […]

Liam’s Weekly Thoughts – 7th – 13th February 2022

2022-02-15T08:17:47+00:00February 7th, 2022|

Looking ahead!

Betfair Hurdle selection & 2 Nicholls horses to overcome his poor form!

Liam has looked ahead to the Betfair Hurdle and highlights a horse he thinks can run a big race this year at double figure odds as well as highlighting 2 horses for Paul Nicholls that he expects to take all the beating despite the trainers poor recent form.

Handicap movers this week & a County Hurdle selection

Liam looks through the handicap movers this week and highlights a horse who’s handicap plot could have been cleverly disguised and looks a bet in the County Hurdle as well as one that has a similar […]

Weekly Handicap Blog – Fences will be the making of him!

This week features 2 or 3 that plenty of you wont be agreeing with but I am confident that next season and over fences and he will bounce back.

Cap Du Nord dropped 1lb to 139

This felt very much like an end of season handicap change from the handicapper rather than dropping him because he had disappointed. His form over fences this year has been very good, 412355 with his only poor running coming in a handicap hurdle. He finished 5th in his final run of the season in the Bet365 Gold Cup where the right […]

Betfair Hurdle – JP potentials and 50/1 Shot!

2020-03-16T13:26:54+00:00February 5th, 2020|

Betfair Hurdle – Saturday 8th February – Can JP win it again?

This weekend sees the Betfair Hurdle return to Newbury after it was run at Ascot last year due to the Equine Influenza outbreak. It’s a race that has had some very talented winners in the past including Make A Stand, Landing Light, Get Me Out Of Here, Zarkandar, My Tent Or Yours and more recently Ballyandy and Kalashnikov.

Both Get Me Out Of Here and My Tent Or Yours were owned by JP McManus whilst he has also had Bleu Et Rouge, Movewiththetimes, Alaivan and Waxies Dargle run good races in recent years.

This year he has 3 possible entries […]
